Sad little people on the doorstep

advocating their word of god;

the Bible as a lever.

Pressuring with words, however sincere,

that somehow lacking meaning.

 

How many martyrs?

How many have died “for their own good?”

How many caught in cross fires?

How many as an excuse?

How many as an expediency?

How many in the name of Religion?

 

What is religion?

A tapestry, however beautiful –

woven by people.

Perhaps well meaning,

perhaps for Job security.

Are these rules so important,

more important than the Light?

 

What light?

Where is the light?

“Search and you shall find”
