A Haiku

Why are we all here?

Meaning or mathematics.

Who has the answer?

Images

Images upon a wall,

black and white and silver gray.

Subtle tones that catch the eye,

glimpses of another world.

Thoughts return to childhood

or ponder on a recent theme.

Stark plains and shapes reflecting light,

softer lines recalling dreams.

Images upon a wall,

pictures of my secret place.

Hidden in my deepest soul

to be enjoyed in solitude.

Adoration

She stood in the church.

Old arms raised, her lined face lit.

Her faith was moving

A Haiku

The world to live on.

Sun for us to see loved ones.

Breath in the clean air.
