Sometimes a man is sorely afraid.

Sometimes a man may be beset,

tangled in a web of troubles.

Smothered by events that overwhelm him.

Unable to break free, spirit broken

he stops caring and is lost.

Sometimes a man leaves the straight path

Where, though the way is steep,

there is a path to follow.

Then turning aside he stumbles and falls

wallowing in his own frailty.

Sometimes a man is truly blessed.

He makes a good decision

from which flows life’s greatest bounty,

a family that fills his heart.

They are ever near however far away.

Sometimes a man is proud to be such a man.
